Welcome to Australian Energy Initiative (AEI). By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms govern your use of our website, products, and services — including when you submit your details to receive offers or communications relating to energy, solar, health, insurance, broadband, and energy efficiency services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our services or submitting your information, you confirm that you:

Are at least 18 years of age or have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must stop using our services immediately.

2. Our Services

AEI provides access to information, comparisons, and offers across a range of products, including:

- Energy (electricity and gas)

- Renewable energy products

- Solar systems

- Solar batteries

- Air conditioning

- Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) products

- Water filtration solutions

- Health insurance

- General insurance

- Broadband and internet services

- Energy efficiency solutions


We partner with trusted third-party providers to bring you relevant options and assist with contract renegotiations for the supply of electricity and/or gas.

We may receive commissions or fees from service providers when you use our platform to compare or switch products. These commissions help us provide services to you at no cost.

Please note that we do not compare all products or providers in the market, and some plans or brands may not be available at the time of your search.

3. Consent to Marketing

By clicking "Submit", you consent to AEI and our third-party partners contacting you via phone, SMS, and email with relevant offers and information.

This may include communications relating to insurance, health, broadband, renewable energy, solar, energy efficiency, air conditioning, VEU products, and water filtration.

Your consent remains valid until you opt out by emailing [email protected].

4. Your Responsibilities

When using our services, you agree to:

- Provide true, accurate, and complete information when requested

- Use our services in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations

- Notify us promptly if you believe your information has been misused or accessed without your permission


You must not:

- Use our services for any unlawful, harmful, or unauthorised purpose

- Provide false or misleading information


5. Third-Party Partners

We work with third-party providers to deliver some of our services. By using AEI, you acknowledge and agree that:

- These third parties may contact you in relation to services you’ve expressed interest in

- AEI is not responsible for the performance, conduct, or terms set by these third parties

We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party provider before engaging their services.

6. Promotions

From time to time, AEI may offer special promotions. All promotions are subject to eligibility and may be amended or withdrawn at any time without notice.

The $2,999 Solar Battery Promotion is subject to eligibility checks and applies to the supply of the battery unit only. Installation costs are additional and will be quoted separately. To qualify for this offer, customers must complete an energy comparison with AEI and agree to switch their energy retailer through AEI or their retail energy partner Offer Choice.

AEI makes no guarantee that this promotion will continue to be offered and reserves the right to withdraw or change it at any time. AEI will not be held liable for any misunderstanding, misinterpretation, or expectation relating to the promotion, its pricing, eligibility requirements, or availability.


7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

- AEI is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage resulting from your use of our services

- Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you’ve paid us for services (if any)


8. Disclaimers

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that:

- The information presented is accurate, reliable, or complete

- Our services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free



9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our services if we believe you have breached these Terms or acted in an unlawful or inappropriate manner.

Termination does not affect any rights or obligations accrued before the termination date.


10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

Continued use of our services after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.


11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
